Spring in the Cotswolds is simply magical, the English countryside comes to life filled with beautiful greenery and blossom. There’s no better way to showcase the area's natural beauty and the wonderful creativity and talent of an exceptional team of wedding professionals than through a thoughtfully curated styled wedding shoot.

An Enchanting Lakeside Setting

This beautiful editorial took place on a serene spring day, surrounded by lush greenery and the tranquil waters of Water’s Edge which has an exquisite outdoor lakeside ceremony area, complete with the graceful presence of swans on the lake. This modern, intimate venue is a dream for couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the peaceful beauty of the Cotswolds countryside.

Our concept for the shoot was to bring the freshness of spring indoors, with a soft and colourful pastel palette that exuded elegance. Collaborating with around 20 luxury wedding creatives, we aimed to create scenes that were not only beautiful but also timeless - an ode to modern romance and an English garden.

A Romantic and Elegant Bridal Look

The day and our story began with bridal prep which was all about understated, elegant glamour. The bride wore a stunning robe by Meeka, her hair styled into classic Hollywood waves, which added a touch of vintage sophistication a style that has been a popular look with brides through 2024. When it came time to slip into her gown, she was a vision in the Suzi Quattro dress by Dando London, delicate, soft, and perfect for a spring celebration. The gown’s romantic silhouette and elegant details truly shone in the natural light, highlighting the bride’s ethereal beauty.

Our groom was equally refined, dressed in a sophisticated blush suit by The Cotswold Tailor. The soft hues of his attire complemented the spring pastels of the setting, creating a look that was modern yet timeless. It was the perfect choice for a couple who values subtlety and class.

Florals played a starring role in our shoot, bringing the essence of spring to life. Rosbael Blooms crafted elevated and sophisticated arrangements using British-grown flowers, ensuring a refined English country feel. From delicate table arrangements to show-stopping bouquets, every bloom was carefully created to enhance the natural beauty of the setting. The florals were a celebration of spring, colourful pastels and beautiful textures

The tablescape, styled by Kate Marie Event Styling was a masterpiece of delicate, soft, and romantic touches. Using elegant tableware and glassware from The Luxe Collection and The Knotted Napkin Co. the table was adorned with knotted napkins, fine glassware, and vintage inspired tableware, all perfectly aligned with our vision of modern romance. The effect was a dining setting that felt both intimate and grand, making it easy to imagine a romantic lakeside wedding here at Water's Edge.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this editorial was the opportunity to collaborate with so many talented creatives, each a specialist in their craft.

From the elegant bridal robes to the exquisite floral arrangements, stunning stationery and the Stylist's vision, every detail was a testament to the skill and artistry of the people involved. The icing on the cake was to have our shoot featured in Coco Weddings - a proud achievement everyone who worked so hard to bring the vision together.

When it comes to weddings and celebrations, every detail matters - from the choice of venue to the style of the floral arrangements and of course the way these moments are captured.
